Olivia chose the Aretha wedding dress for her special day. The modest neckline and 3/4 length sleeves were perfect for her wedding day! Where did you and your fiancé meet?
Jacob and I met at church during my official visit to the University of Mississippi. Although I don’t remember meeting him (and wouldn’t start college until two years later!), he claims that he instantly knew he would marry me! How did he propose? After church, Jacob and I went on a walk around the Ole Miss campus, just like any ordinary afternoon. He took me to the Paris-Yates Chapel, the place where he first told me he loved me, and proposed. It was just the two of us- a perfectly intimate moment! Describe your wedding in 4 words: Timeless, simple, elegant, and wintry! What did you splurge on/save on? It truly takes a village to throw a wedding. From dress alterations, to photography, to the desserts at the reception, our friends and family offered their talents and time. It definitely saved us a good bit of cash, but it was also so special to have all of our loved ones play a part in our wedding! What was your favorite part of your wedding day? When Jacob and I were receiving our final blessing before being pronounced husband and wife, I remember the gravity of the moment, realizing that I was entering a covenant with both Jacob and the Lord. I told myself, “Remember this moment, even if the day goes by like a blur.” It was humbling and beautiful! Any advice for future brides? While weddings are fun to plan and exciting to think about, your marriage is ultimately the most important aspect of the day. Keep it simple! Cherish every moment. Living in Mississippi, I thought it would be impossible for this dream to become a reality. However, I took the plunge, ordered the dress online, and had it delivered all the way to Mississippi. I never even tried on another wedding gown. It truly was the dress of my dreams. My wedding was small, simple, and inexpensive, but my wedding dress is truly a priceless treasure. Thank you, Elizabeth Cooper Design!
