Pro-Tip: How To Repurpose Your Bridal Gown and Veil

The wedding is over, you're blissfully happy, but what can you do with this wedding gown (& veil) hanging in your closet? (Your husband is starting to complain about not having any closet space.)

Use pieces of your modest wedding gown to make jewelry. Wear it yourself and pass it down to your daughters someday. Earrings, necklaces, headbands, belts, bracelets.  Wedding gowns with long sleeves are perfect for this approach, since  you can shorten the sleeves, while leaving the rest of the gown intact, and use the removed material for creating your mementos.

Have your wedding gown professionally preserved- either framed and hung to remember or to keep safe for your daughter or daughter-in-law to wear someday when they too want a modest wedding dress.

Have a professional seamstress remake the entire wedding gown into a blessing/christening dress or a baptism/confirmation dress.

If you want to keep most of the gown intact, the train of your wedding gown can be removed and used for creating little dresses or other mementos

Another great idea for a modest wedding gown with long sleeves, is to shorten the sleeves and use the removed fabric to create a purse or clutch from your gown. Lace looks good on everything!

Repurpose your old veil as a bed net for your master bedroom or for your new babies nursery.

Give your wedding gown to a worthy cause. Modest wedding dresses can be difficult to find, so sharing yours could bless the life of another bride-
