Whitney wore our Hanae gown in ivory with a flutter sleeve and we must say- she looked absolutely gorgeous. We love the location she chose for her photos, the LDS Manti Temple is stunning. Congratulations to Whitney and her groom!

ECD Bride Liz

In case you missed it, our bride Liz was featured on KSL news when her gown was anonymously paid for by another of our generous bride's at our February trunk show. What a special experience it was to be a part of! Her sweet story went viral and was featured nation wide by People Magazine, CNN, ABC News New York, Good Morning America, and more! It was so fun to see the entire nation touched by this random act of kindness. Congratulations to Liz and her groom Jimmy.

How many guests should I take wedding shopping?

7/23/2015

We get asked a lot why we only allow 2 guests per bride. Here's why:
Picture

1) Space.
Our trunk shows are always held at different locations throughout Utah. We never know from one month to the next where we might end up for our next trunk show. Sometimes we are in large, beautiful reception centers, other times we are in smaller conference rooms. With (among other things) six large 6'x6' dressing rooms and 5 overflowing racks of wedding gowns space can get tight! We simply do not have the room for each bride in attendance to bring her entire family, all her roommates, and her soon-to-be-in-laws.
Picture
2) Too Many People Is A Bad Idea.
A wedding dress has long been heralded as the most important dress a girl will ever own. That's a lot of pressure! Taking that plunge and buying your special dress can be scary. Most girls assume that by having their mom, four sisters, two sisters-in-law, both grandmothers, fiance, dad, three roommates, and their dog all their to help them make the decision that everything will be easier. Unfortunately, that's simply not true. So many people would never agree on anything (has anyone ever seen "Say Yes To The Dress"?!) Even if the majority of your party agrees that the dress you love is "the one", there's always going to be that one person who doesn't love it. Lets be honest, if everyone had the same taste in everything then there would be no variety and fun in this world! Unfortunately, that one person that can't get on board with your dream dress dampens the mood for the whole experience.
Having twenty different opinions about your wedding dress cycling through your head never helps anyone. Bringing a large party to your bridal appointment is simply put- a bad idea. Here's what we recommend: You, your mother (if available), and a sister or close friend. Pick the one or two people who know you best and will help you make the best decision for you. No one needs Great Aunt Ruthie's opinion on whether or not your gown should be white or cream (hello, obviously she would say white). Not to mention, it's impossible for your bridal consultant to appease so many people at the same time, and you may end up receiving less-than-stellar help when she develops a head ache. :)

3) Damage.
A bridal party of 10 people, equals 20 busy feet. That many feet in a small, confined area full of wedding dresses never ends well. Unfortunately we have had our delicate gowns stepped on, dirtied, ripped and ruined by busy, busy bridal party members. It is for the sake of our gowns staying pristine that we not only limit the number of guests allowed, but also request that all bridal guests stay seated for the duration of the appointment.

4) Dress Up.
When a bride brings a large bridal party to her appointment it is not uncommon for it to become a "dress-up party". This is a fun idea, however our appointments are not for "dress-up". Since we only hold trunk shows about every 4-6 weeks our appointment slots are limited and in high demand. At every trunk show we have a waiting list full of brides that are anxious for an appointment but we, unfortunately, aren't able to accommodate. With so many brides vying for our limited appointment slots we ask that brides take their appointments with us seriously. We are not your typical bridal shop where you can bring your bridal party and play dress-up. Appointments are limited, short in duration, and only for the purpose of connecting the brides of Utah to modest, affordable wedding gowns.

Kristalyn opted for one of our favorites from this years collection- the Hanae gown. We love the way the chiffon flows and flatters her adorable figure. She looked absolutely stunning. Congratulations Kristalyn to you and your sweetheart!

Marie is such a fun bride! Marie looked beautiful in one of our Emmie gowns with a delicate sash accentuating her waist. And we absolutely adore the fun handmade bouquet she had! Congratulations to Marie and Scott!

June Trunk Show

7/1/2015

June's Utah trunk show was held at the most unique venue in Provo, Utah- The Bell Room is not only incredibly beautiful and centrally located right in the heart of Provo, but it's also one of the most affordable venues we've ever come across! For only $800 for a full day weekend rental, this place is a steal.
It was so fun to meet so many beautiful brides. The June show was a blast. We can't wait for August!
