Autumn had the most beautiful winter wedding in Washington DC. We love her colors and that bouquet is perfect! Such a gorgeous winter bride! Congratulations Autumn!
Photography: Maria Grace Photography Last weekend was the first of our 2016 trunk shows and we had the pleasure of holding it at The Lodge at Traverse Mountain. This venue is perfect- located right in the heart of Utah county, it's right off the freeway, just behind the Traverse Mountain Mall in Lehi, Utah. The location couldn't be more convenient, and the views out the large lodge windows are incredible. Ashley, with The Lodge, was fabulous to work with.

Kelsey wore our classic ivory Alexandra gown. We can't get over how neat the location for her bridals is! We love the photos, and Kelsey looks so beautiful! Congratulations to Kelsey and her new husband!
Photography: Elisha Braithwaite Florals: Sweet Pea Floral & Gift ECD bride Kylie wore the Sennet gown. She had the sleeves altered into a short cap, perfect for her summer wedding. Kylie added her own personal touch to her wedding gown by using a blue ribbon to lace up the back. Her wedding was at the Payson temple and her reception was at her parent's beautiful backyard. We asked Kylie a few questions about her wedding, here's what she said:
Where did you and your fiancé meet? My husband and I met at our singles ward. How did he propose? We had gone for a drive to my favorite spot that overlooks Utah Lake. Earlier in the day he had gotten a puppy and had his brother, take the puppy to this spot and hide it behind a big boulder. So unaware of the puppy, we get to the spot and as soon as we stop, Austin is hopping out saying he saw something behind the Boulder and asked if I was going to check it out. Not wanting to because it was cold and windy, but curious, I got and go over to find a tiny chocolate lab thinking someone had left him. Until Austin tells me to see if he has any tags and he did, one that said "will you marry me" engraved on it. I turn around and Austin was down I one knee and I said yes. Describe your wedding in 4 words: Everything I ever wanted. What did you splurge on? Definitely splurged on photography, but they turned out beautiful, so it was well beyond worth it! What did you save on? Saved so much money only dress! To find a dress that I wanted, affordable and modest, was not happening, even finding a dress I liked and could have alterations done on it, was well over $1,000. So thank you for making beautiful gowns that are modest and affordable! What was your favorite part of the day? Other than marrying the man of my dreams? I'd say it would have to be spending time with close friends and family and enjoying the celebration with everyone who supported our decision. Any advise for future brides? My advice would be to have people you TRUST in charge of the big important things. You shouldn't be stressing about anything! Just make sure you make it well understood everything you want and how you expect it to turn out for your big day so you can show up and take off when you need to! Congratulations to Kylie and her new husband! "I attended your May 23, 2015 Trunk Show at the Riverwoods Conference Center. I went in to my appointment with some ideas in mind but never thought that I would leave with the EXACT dress that I was looking for. I was interested in some dresses from your 2015 collection but saw a Manon dress from 2014 that was my ideal dress. Once arrived, I asked if you had any leftover and YOU DID - in my size!! This dress was wonderful and only needed the sleeves to be brought in a little (all the stress of the wedding made me loose weight everywhere!) :) I am so grateful for your company and the wonderful talent that you share to all of us brides who are just looking for a modest and affordable wedding dress. I thought I would share some images from my wedding in my beautiful gown and hope that you would want to share my message or these pictures with your clients as well. All my love, Sloan C." Congratulations to Sarah and her husband!

But the holidays also means the end of the year for Elizabeth Cooper Design gown sales. Our last 2015 Utah trunk show is November 21st, and while trunk shows are a lot of work, we are sad to see the years conclusion! However 2016 is just around the corner and with it brings a new collection full of incredible new gowns, more trunk shows, and new exciting opportunities. So we are taking this opportunity to reflect back over this wonderful year. Elizabeth Cooper Design grew so much in 2015, thanks to all of you and the incredible support we have received from friends and customers. We are so grateful for the support and love we have experienced. During this time of reflection we wanted to throw it back to last January when the insanely talented Kristina Curtis Photography photographed our 2015 collection. It was such a pleasure to work with her. Katie Livingston of KL Artistry did an amazing job with hair and make up on our models, and Brush Fire Florals created the most unique back drop and bouquets for the shoot. It was such a fun shoot and we feel so lucky to work with such talented professionals.

This venue is one of our favorites- located right in the heart of the Riverwoods shopping center, nestled right against the big Provo mountains, the location is ideal. The Manor has two separate rooms, which can be expanded into one large room by opening the gorgeous glass paned, double french doors that separates them. With hard wood flooring, chandeliers, and a full catering kitchen The Manor has everything you need for your elegant event. We have had several events at The Manor in the past and we always love working with the friendly staff- they are so accommodating and make our shows a breeze! Trunk shows at The Manor are always beautiful- check out some of the photos Landon Faulkner Photography snapped of the day.

We LOVE the way it turned out. Meredith was just the cutest bride. Congratulations to Meredith and her new husband!

Photography: Green Apple Photography We are a bit biased here toward fall weddings- since I had a fall wedding. So when we saw Molly's bridals we were instantly in love. We adore the beautiful fall colors and what a gorgeous location she chose. That bouquet, by Leafy Greens Floral, with those deep reds and purples just encapsulates fall so perfectly. Molly looks so gorgeous in her Sennet gown, and isn't her groom just adorable? All around, Molly and her groom are just perfection. Congratulations to Molly and her husband, you guys rocked the fall wedding!
Gown: Sennet by Elizabeth Cooper Design Photography: Lori Romney Photography Florals: Leafy Greens Floral Beautiful Kassidy told us when she bought her gown that she loves rose gold, and everything about the color rose. So it's no wonder she opted for our rose Maybelle gown, and it goes so perfectly with her rose gold ring, and the rosey colors of the southern Utah setting. Kassidy had our seamstress add a long sleeve to her Maybelle gown and we love the way it turned out! Congratulations to Kassidy and her husband!

Weddings in the temples have changed a bit over time, and are likely to keep changing, however did you know that most of the busiest temples do not currently allow brides to wear their wedding gowns in the temple for their ceremony? While it is still important to find a wedding gown that will adhere to the LDS churches modesty standards, should you be marrying in the LDS temple, it is not actually necessary to purchase a stark white gown because you will most likely not be wearing your gown during your ceremony anyway. Now, we aren't saying you absolutely won't be able to- but the standard for most temples is that they would prefer that you not, as wedding dresses are (by nature) distracting. When I was married I was told by the LDS temple workers that I "could wear my dress if I was going to throw an absolute fit about it, but they would prefer that I did not." Well, who's going to throw a fit in an LDS temple? :) What does this mean for you? It means you will select a cute little white temple dress to wear in the temple during your ceremony, and every time you return to the temple you will get to wear that same cute little dress that you were married to your sweetheart in. It also means you can wear a wedding gown of any color you choose. So if you happen to be one of those modern brides who prefers a pink dress, or a grey dress, or a champagne dress, then you go girl, nothing's stopping you. ;)
Kevyn wore the Elizabeth Cooper Design two-peice Fae gown. We love this gown because it doubles as a fun reception dress. She looks absolutely gorgeous in her gown, and we especially love that cute First Look video! Check it out! Congratulations Kevyn, to you and Cody!
